Kick Walls

Kickwalls are an excellent way to work on a player's first touch.  With social distancing now the norm, they also provide a player with a passing partner.  The below site is from a coach in the midwest who is very passionate about the value of kickwalls.  Building the wall can also be a great family project.

US Club Soccer Videos

US Club Soccer, in combination with Beast Mode Soccer, created these videos.

Beast Mode Soccer
The popular Players First Video Training Series, presented by Beast Mode Soccer, is a treasure trove of player development-focused exercises you can do with minimal equipment from home.

There are 46 total videos in this YouTube playlist containing a few different mini-series components, such as the “First Touch Series,” “Buddy Passing” (with a sibling or parent, of course!), “Four Cone Drill,” “Mastering the Art of Dribbling” and more

US Soccer Foundation's Soccer for Success at Home Series

US Soccer Foundation is a completely separate organization from US Soccer federation. The Foundation does excellent charity work around the country with a focus to help under served areas. They just released this series.

FIFA 11 Plus Program

As one of the critical components of the Player Health & Safety pillar of Players First, the 11+ provides tools and resources for improving performance and reducing injury risk.

It is a 20-minute comprehensive warm-up program designed to reduce injuries among soccer players ages 14 and older. The 11+ is used on the field without any additional equipment and consists of 15 exercises divided into three separate components:

  1. Running exercises (8 minutes) encompassing cutting, change of direction, decelerating and proper landing techniques, and strength;
  1. Plyometric and balance exercises (10 minutes) that focus on core strength, eccentric control and proprioception; and
  1. Running exercises (2 minutes) to conclude the warm-up and optimally prepare the athlete for athletic participation.

Developed by an international group of experts, the implementation of the program in men’s and women’s competitive soccer led to a significant decrease in injuries during games and training, and time loss due to injury, thus proving not only the effectiveness of the program, but that it is easily and broadly applicable.

Dribbling Exercises from YouthCoachPro

These are some simple dribbling exercises from a  friend who is  the director of a Club in Canada.  He provides training for clubs like ours, but is also now working on material to help players.  These are easy to set up and any similar sized item can be used in place of cones.
